Breast Surgery Revision in Chicago

Breast surgery in general is challenging on a number of levels, characterized by a high potential for asymmetry, and since breasts change with age, long-term complications resulting from breast procedures like breast enlargement and breast lift are not uncommon. Complications from prior breast surgeries may include implant rupture, "capsular contracture" (scarring around implants creating discomfort or distortion), early or progressive asymmetry/contour irregularity, symmastia ("kissing implants"), progressive ptosis/drooping or prominent external scarring. Since the FDA approved silicone gel implants in November 2006, many women are electing to undergo exchange of their saline implants (which were the only ones available to them the 15 years prior for primary augmentation) for the newer, safer silicone gel implants on the market.
