BOTOX® Cosmetic Before & After Photos

This 38 year-old woman was interested in upper facial rejuvenation, but was not yet ready for invasive surgery.  She was mostly bothered by the lines of her upper forehead, which were especially prominent upon activation/raising of the brow.  She also had less obvious "smile lines" around her eyes with animation, and some lines between the eyebrows, also known as "glabellar furrows" or "bunny lines".  Otherwise, her brow position was fairly good, and she did not need eyelid surgery.

I advised that she was an ideal candidate for injections of BOTOX Cosmetic, which could be performed on the spot at the same office visit.  Indeed, she underwent injection of approximately 20 units to the mid upper brow (to keep the activity of the lateral "arch" intact), as well as 10 units to the area between the eyebrows, and approximately 6 units divided into 3 separate injections around either eye to reduce her laugh lines.  She tolerated this quite well (after pre- and post-icing of the areas to diminish the sting effect), and reported minimal post-procedure redness or irritation, and no bruising or downtime.
