This 41 year-old woman had initially come to our office asking about a tummy tuck, but within a month was actually diagnosed with left breast cancer. Because she was already conisdered to be an excellent candidate for an abdominoplasty (at 5'6", approximately 155 pounds), she naturally opted for "autogenous" tissue reconstruction utilizing her abdominal tissues as a TRAM rotation flap. She underwent this left breast reconstruction within 2 months of first visiting us (for a Chicago tummy tuck), and thereafter underwent a balancing right (mini-)mastopexy, and as a third step, a nipple reconstruction (with grafts) was performed 7 months after the initial mound reconstruction (these photos are from 7 month post-op).
