This 42 year-old woman from Libertyville desired both a tummy tuck and a breast reduction.  She had  breast-fed two children, and was left with a 38DD bra size, as well as chronic mid-back pain for which she had seen a chiropractor for over a year.  I advised her that performing a breast reduction concomitantly with an abdominoplasty at Lake Forest Hospital would be safe, and could otherwise be known as a "Mommy Makeover".

The patient was 5'5" and 165' at the time of surgery, which she tolerated quite well.  Approximately 560 gm of tissue was removed from either side, which left her in a C-cup bra size range and greatly reduced her symptoms.  While a minor amount of fullness remained in her upper abdomen (partially due to a fluid collection that was drained), she was generally greatly pleased with the overall improved contour of her abdomen, as well as more proportionate breast size (photographs are from approximately 6 months post-op).

Patient Gender: Female
Breast Incision Type: Inverted T
Cup Size Before: DD
Cup Size After: C
Tissue Removed Left: 560 grams
Tissue Removed Right: 560 grams
