Dr. O.P. Steinwald practiced in the Chicago/Lake Forest area from 1974-2006, and during that time treated thousands of patients with aesthetic, traumatic or reconstructive problems over the years. He held numerous appointments at academic institutions, as well as leadership roles at Lake Forest Hospital in the past, including Chairman of Surgery and President of the Medical Staff. His principle interests included aesthetic procedures such as facelifts, eyelid surgery, nasal surgery and breast or body contouring. Dr. Steinwald still volunteers 2-4 weeks of his time each year to visit and care for underprivileged children with congenital abnormalities, in countries around the world, through the Interplast organization.
