Skin Care in Chicago
Even if you are not quite ready for formal facial plastic surgery, there are many other exciting, effective and more affordable rejuvenation treatments that we can offer you. Whether you are a patient from around Chicago interested in BOTOX®, Dysport®,and/or injectable soft tissue filler/augmentation agents - or simply physician-grade professional skin care to help balance and optimize your complexion and/or eliminate finer wrinkles - you are probably an excellent candidate for our office-based "Afterglow" Aesthetic Skin Care Services. Although Dr. Steinwald himself administers all rejuvenating injectables such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, and dermal fillers, like Restylane® and Juvederm®, we are also proud to feature Paulette as our licensed skin aesthetician to oversee and administer the balance of these services.
Meet Our Aesthetician
Paulette has practiced under the supervision of several dermatologists in the past, and has been a valued member of our staff since 2005. She is an expert at recognizing and treating skin complexion issues, and has also undergone advanced training in laser skin therapy for patients here on the North Shore of Chicago and from southern Wisconsin.

In addition to administering our Trimatrixx® (erb:YAG) laser skin rejuvenation treatments for early-to moderate signs of aging, she is an highly experienced at microdermabrasion exfoliation techniques, especially as a component of our Regenique® ultrasound-based skin tightening therapy. Paulette is also the primary decision-maker regarding medical-grade facial skin care treatments (such as facials and glycolic acid peels) and/or take-home products. These alternatives are ideal for patients who want to stave off the earlier effects of aging, but just aren't ready for (or are candidates for) more intensive procedures such as facelift surgery in Chicago.
Before initiating any topical treatment, Paulette will perform a careful skin evaluation that reviews your sun exposure history, medical history and history of prior skin problems or treatments. She will also perform a global skin analysis, often utilizing a dermascope (lighted magnification) to identify special problem spots.

Your Next Step
Appointments for skin evaluations or formal treatments generally are on Wednesday afternoons and take place in our on-site Room 3 Medi-spa, but Paulette is also often available Wednesday mornings to provide complimentary skin evaluations "on the spot." She is happy to see patients requiring skin care from Chicago and its surrounding areas, who may not yet be ready for facial plastic surgery, but are interested in non-invasive skin rejuvenation or maintenance of previous results.
