Our Plastic Surgery Practice in Chicago

Lake Forest Plastic Surgery is proud to still be housed in the building where it all started. This converted nursing dorm is where founding/senior member O.P. Steinwald, M.D. set up practice in 1974, on the beautiful, college-like campus of Lake Forest Hospital. It since has undergone several rounds of remodeling and redecoration, including most recently in late 2008, during which a majority of the public areas of our plastic surgery office in Chicago received a "facelift." There is also a wide screen television in the main consult room, to demonstrate relevant "before and after" photos, when appropriate.

Our office is a cozy, cottage-like setting meant to be as comfortable as your own home, with the space for our Room 3 medi-spa (which houses our newer Regenique™ microdermabrasion/ultrasound machine), and the potential to allow in-office minor surgeries in the future. The office is a pleasant mix of the traditional and the modern, not unlike the approach Dr. Paul Steinwald takes to plastic surgery, built upon tried-and-true traditional cosmetic surgery procedures, to which he has added more modern innovations as they prove their utility.

For your convenience, we also can occasionally see consults and follow-ups in two satellite locations, the Lake Forest Hospital Grayslake campus (near routes 120 and 45, in Suite 316 on Thursday mornings), and by appointment only at SpaDerma at 1133 West Armitage in downtown Chicago (773-529-5277).

This modernization also includes keeping his Web site up to date with recent news and upcoming events, as well as new case studies with before and after photos.
